In 2014 Wilsons celebrity made its away over the pond in a more prominent way after she was cast on Showtimes The Affair as Alison Lockhart who is a young, troubled woman who has a past of dark that falls in love with a married man named Noah Solloway. Wilson was awarded a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series in Drama 2015 alongside Mauratierney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson stated to British Vogue that she loved playing a character in both perspective. Noah sees Alison as a confident sexy version. Her self-image is seen in a completely different light. From the inside, she is not confident and would rather blend in with the background. The actress added "I think America is a moral society and so critical.
