Wilsons stardom grew in the United Kingdom in the year 2014 in the UK. The actress starred as Alison Lockhart in Showtimes The Affair as a character with dark secrets who falls in the love of Noah Solloway. The show also starring Maura Tierney as well as Joshua Jackson was a hit among viewers and critics alike and earned Wilson the Golden Globe for Best Actress in the field of Television Series Drama in 2015. Wilson said in British Vogue: "I love the fact that I am able to play characters from two angles." Noah thinks of Alison to be this confident reckless sexually attractive version of her. The way she sees herself in a totally different way. From the inside she's not sure and would rather blend in with the background.
