Midthunder originates from the Fort Peck Assiniboine tribe. Her family is of The Navajo Nation of Shiprock in New Mexico. After spending much of her life in Santa Fe (where she went to the Academy for Technology and the Classics as well as where her mother worked at a casting company), she returned home. Amber has been identified as Native American on her father's side. Both are registered members of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother was adopted. Amber has unknown her mixed family ethnic heritage. Prey has a predominantly Native American cast, including Dakota Beavers as Naru's brother and Jhane Meyers who was Comanche and Blackfeet and provided extensive advice to the production. Due to the period that the film is set, it was not an option to cast any dog. Coco, who is the character's animal Sarii in the film, was chosen for her rare breed: the American Dingo. It's also known as the Carolina Dog and it's one of the oldest breeds in existence.
There is another message in everything. In the film, TJ tells us his love for Amanda and how she is the most important thing to him (although certain of the narration is likely to be about the daughter if we analyze the story further). He confessed his feelings towards her but she refused him as she was dating Daniel. After that, Jack married Amanda and following her demise, Emily revealed her true identity. Since then, they've remained the best of acquaintances. They will be married during the final episode of the show. Amanda and Wilf will kiss at midnight. The whole pot of prize money is won by a single person.
